Jamie Bassett, she/her/hers
Jamie is an experienced leader with fifteen (15) years of leadership experience, including more than six (6) years leading equity, diversity, and inclusion work. As a Mexican American woman, Jamie has a proven track record of impactful contributions, driven leadership, and passion for ensuring team members feel included, honored, and uplifted regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation, or other social identity markers. Her formal education in Sociology at Colorado College and a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership at Colorado State University provide a foundation for her life’s work to drive the advancement of a more just, more inclusive, more diverse, and more equitable experience for all
Throughout her career, she has set visions for, led, and empowered teams to provide a high standard of equity, inclusion, and diversity. Her personal and professional lived experiences have prepared her to excel in her 10+ year tenure in Denver Public Schools, most recently as the Director of Culturally Responsive Education and in her current role leading diversity, equity, and inclusion at a Colorado-based company. Jamie partners with multiple stakeholders to guarantee every single team member and community member, especially those who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and other marginalized identities thrive, not by accident, but by design. Jamie has successfully led DEI training for Foundations, Boards, educators, leaders, and non-profit communities. Jamie is married and has two young girls.
Danielle Harris, Ph.D., she/her/hers
Danielle grew up in Denver, and brings over 19 years of experience in education and has served in various roles in education including being a classroom teacher, teacher leader, program director, and is now serving as Senior Manager for Equity Initiatives in Denver Public Schools. Throughout her tenure, Dr. Harris has worked with very diverse students and families, including students of color, students with special needs, students from varying socioeconomic status’, gifted students and typically developing students as well. Dr. Harris earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum, Instruction & Educational Leadership, with an emphasis on diverse learners from the University of Denver. Danielle continues to work with pre-service teachers through her position as adjunct faculty
at Metropolitan State University in the Early Childhood Undergraduate Program. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her daughters, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Robert Franklin, II, he/him/his
Robert currently serves as the Diversity, Health Equity, and Inclusion Programs Manager for Children’s Hospital Colorado, in addition to maintaining consulting relationships throughout the US with organizations and individuals in service and community-facing roles. The work of Robert’s position at Children’s builds on his former leadership of the Diversity Catalyst Team at Colorado State University, and as a lead trainer within the City and County of Denver – engaging the entire Children’s Colorado system to consider the difference and its impact on work and care in the community. Guided by the coordinated strategy he installed, Robert’s programs and initiatives direct caregivers and staff as they learn and talk about, celebrate and take action in response to the differences individuals bring.
Brandy Davis, she/her/hers
Brandy is a first-generation college student with a bachelor’s degree in social work from Colorado State University. Brandy has been serving Colorado’s youth and families for decades in nonprofit human services organizations, county human services, and state human services programs. In her free time, she participates as a Toastmaster and likes to play in the kitchen. Brandy has over 20+ years in work with non-profit organizations, government agencies, and a Fortune 500 company, Brandy has gained the skills to empower others so they can achieve the outcomes that matter most to them. Brandy is a certified Proscii ADKAR Change Management Practitioner, a Lean Blackbelt, an empath, a Bachelor’s-level Social Worker, and comes with lived experience. Brandy is a native of Wyoming and she identifies as biracial, born of a Mexican mother and African-American father.
